Usability Testing

Usability testing is an iterative process to determine the fit of the design for the proposed customer. This type of testing is typically performed in a laboratory where a customer interacts with some form of the product: vision prototype, design mock-up, simulation, or product. The testing may also be performed in various geographical regions.

Usability testing should be part of a usability process so that show stoppers do not appear near to the ship date. Instead, usability testing should occur throughout the product life cycle.
